The Newspapers Distributors Association of Nigeria, Lagos Island chapter, has elected a new set of executives.
This is as the new chairman, Musibau Oloyede, gave assurance that his administration would run an open-door policy where everybody’s opinion would count.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held in Lagos on Tuesday, Oloyede said the commitment of his executives would be directed towards taking the association to the next improved business levels.
“Obviously, the business of selling newspapers and magazines is one of the most affected businesses by the present economic situation in the country. Therefore, we have to find a common goal with the media houses to keep operating at a profitable level.
“We are ready for an improved relationship with the media houses and solicit their understanding and cooperation on issues that can influence the way we do business.”
He added that the level of understanding between media houses and newspapers distributors would “go a long way to reshape the sales and distribution of newspaper/magazines.”
